ENTREVISTA EN ESPAÑOL

Zea: Antes de nada, me gustaría agradecerte que nos hayas prestado parte de tu tiempo Sebastián. ¿Podrías presentarte a los lectores? Más que nada para la gente que está menos metida en la scene internacional de Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne.

FuRy: Buenas, soy FuRy. Tengo 23 años y soy de Suecia. Juego la raza Undead.

Zea: Si no me equivoco, dejaste los estudios hace tiempo para dedicarte totalmente al WC3. ¿Actualmente estás estudiando o trabajando?

FuRy: Actualmente no, pero empezaré a estudiar cuando llegue el otoño!

Zea: ¿Estás jugando tanto a WC3 como antes? Quiero decir, ¿cuánto tiempo al día? ¿Y la motivación?

FuRy: Realmente juego muchísimo ahora mismo, desde el día que entré en PGS. Terminé 3º en la DreamHack por ejemplo.

Zea: Hace tiempo leímos en varias páginas web, que habías perdido la motivación para jugar. ¿La veremos de vuelta para que recuperes todo tu potencial?

FuRy: El único momento en el que estuve desmotivado fue el año en el que tuvimos ciertos problemas en 4Kings.

Zea: Cuando saliste de 4Kings, entraste a PGS, y dijiste que tenías la motivación suficiente para recuperar tu forma. La gente dice que no tuvisteis demasiados buenos resultados, y Zeus y tu dejasteis el equipo. ¿Cuál fue la verdadera razón de perder esa motivación?

FuRy: Bien, yo pienso que si hice buenos resultados. Gané casi todo en WPL y en la Bundesliga, y tuve muy duros oponentes en WC3L como Sky, ToD, Check, Focus..
Dejé PGS por razones personales.

Zea: Entonces estás jugando mucho a WC3 actualmente, pero sin equipo. ¿Cuáles son tus planes de futuro para el gaming? ¿Te quedarás en WC3? ¿O tienes pensado cambiarte a SCII cuando salga?

FuRy: Bueno, si no consigo encontrar un equipo para final de Julio, lo más probable es que deje prácticamente de jugar al WC3. No tengo ni idea de que haré respecto con SCII y otros títulos que estén por venir. El tiempo lo dirá.

Zea: Dices que si no encuentras equipo dejarás de jugar prácticamente, por estudiar. ¿Crees que se puede compaginar?

FuRy: Estoy seguro de que sí. Pero si no tengo un equipo no veo que merezca la pena.
Por ejemplo, yo fui invitado a ESWC Masters, pero como no tengo un equipo que pueda apoyarme económicamente, no pude viajar hacia allí. Es desesperante.

Zea: ¿Qué piensas acerca de SCII? ¿Has podido probarlo en algún evento?

FuRy: No he tenido la oportunidad de estar en ningún evento que dispusiera de la Beta de SCII. Pero como todos los juegos de Blizzard, estoy seguro de que será espectacular. Parece ser un gran juego.

Zea: El nuevo parche de Blizzard ha visto por fin la luz. ¿Qué piensas acerca de él? ¿Te gustan los cambios Undead? ¿Cómo ves todos los matchups de Undead contra las demás razas?

FuRy: Bien… me sentí bastante triste al saber que no había “nerfs” para ORC. Especialmente para el Blademaster, que es el mejor héroe del juego con diferencia. Casi puede destrozar un ejército entero por sí solo, y es la única unidad del juego que no puedes rodear. Es ridículo. Así que UD vs ORC está exactamente igual. Tampoco entiendo demasiado el buff de los Knights, pero igualmente me gusta. Parece que UD vs NE será un poco más fácil ahora.

Zea: ¿Qué hay de la armadura nueva de los zigurats?

FuRy: Nah, no causarán ninguna diferencia vs ORC.

Zea: Unos años atrás eras uno de los mejores jugadores europeos y casi mundiales. ¿Crees que volverás a alcanzar ese nivel?

FuRy: ¡Todo es posible! pero antes necesito un equipo para continuar jugando =)

Zea: Estuviste viviendo en Corea por mucho tiempo. ¿Qué te has llevado de esa experiencia?¿Es difícil vivir para jugar 24/7? Y, ¿no sacaste suficiente tiempo libre como para hacer otro tipo de cosas?

FuRy: Fue una de las mejores experiencias de toda mi vida con diferencia, muchísima diversión todos los días, y me pude acercar muchísimo a mis compañeros de equipo. Nos volvimos como hermanos. Está claro que es difícil jugar durante todo el día, pero al final mereció la pena. una vez conseguí jugar mis partidas en vivo por la televisión Koreana.
Y si, tienes razón, no tuve tiempo para hacer otras cosas a parte de jugar, pero después de todo, ese era el motivo del viaje.

Zea: ¿Conoces algún jugador de WC3 español? LucifroN es actualmente nuestra estrella. ¿Has podido ver algún game o jugar con él?

FuRy: Si, le conozco. Jugué un game de ladder con él en el 1.22. Parecía bastante bueno :D.

Zea: Si consigues encontrar un equipo, ¿tienes planeado asistir a algún evento offline próximamente?

FuRy: Bien, para empezar espero que nos clasifiquemos para los playoffs de la ENC (Suecia) y también intentaré clasificarme para las WCG.

Zea: Dices que has estado entrenando mucho. ¿Qué tipo de entrenamiento haces: Custom games, ladder…?

FuRy: Estoy jugando GGL ladder ahora, y ladder de battle.net 1.22 normal. También Custom Games.

Zea: Para los más perdidos, GGL ladder no es el ladder de GGC. Es éste. En él participan los mejores jugadores europeos.

Zea: ¿Actualmente estás viviendo en tu país con tu familia?

FuRy: Vivo con mi novia.

Zea: Eso es bueno. ¿Fue difícil el proceso de escalar puestos y puestos para convertirte en progamer para tu familia y para ti? ¿Te apoyaron lo suficiente o tuviste que pelear con ellos porque no lo veían bien, como la mayoría de gente que no llega a conseguir alcanzar el sueño?

FuRy: No, mi madre me apoyó mucho más de lo que yo hubiera podido pedir jamás. Esto hizo mucho más fácil tomar ciertas decisiones =). Creo que eso es lo más importante.

Zea: First of all, i wanna thank you a lot for giving us some minuts of your time, Sebastian. Could you introduce yourself to the people? Just for people who doesn’t know really much the WC3 international scene.
FuRy: Im FuRy, 23 year old from sweden, play the undead.

Zea: If I am not wrong, you left the studies many years ago for playing WC3. Are you studing or working at the moment?

FuRy: No but im starting to study when autum starts!.

Zea: Are you playing WC3 like before? I mean, how long a day? And so motivation?

FuRy: I play really alot right now, and ever since i joined PGS. Finished third at Dreamhack for example.

Zea: Time ago, we read in many websites that you got no motivation for playing WC3? Did you solve it? Nowadays, are you motivated for getting your best skill?

FuRy: I was only not motivated during the year when we had problems in 4Kings.

Zea: When you left 4Kings time ago, you joined PGS and you told you got the motivation you needed for getting a good shape. You didn’t got so good results like you did in the past, so Zeus and you left the team. ¿Wich was the real reason of not getting good results?

FuRy: Well, i thought i made good results, i won almost everything in WPL and Bundesliga, and i got really hard opponents in WC3L: Sky, ToD, Check, FoCuS...

Zea: I mean not like in the past where you were one of the best players in the world. So why did you left PGS then?

FuRy: Personal reasons.

Zea: So, you are playing so much WC3 atm, but with no team. Wich are your plans for your gamming in the future? Will you stay in WC3? Or would you change to SCII when it gets released?

FuRy: Well, if i cant find a team untill the end of the july month i will most likely stop playing.
Dunno about SC2 and other games that are coming, time will tell.

Zea: So you will most likely stop playing for beggining studies. Dont you think is it possible to continue playing even if you have to study?

FuRy: Sure it is, but if i dont have a team i feel its pretty pointless. Like for example i got invited for ESWC Masters but i dont have a team to pay for my trip, thats just heartbreaking.

Zea: What do you think about SCII? Did you play it in any offline WC3 tournament?

FuRy: No i wasnt at any offline WC3 event that had the SC2 beta but with all blizzard games i have no reason to believe it will be anything short of amazing. It looks really nice.

Zea: New patch from WC3 is ON. What do you think about it? Do you like the Undead changes? And what about the undead matchup versus the other races?

FuRy: Well, i was really sad to see orc didnt get any nerfs. More specifically blademaster, which is the strongest hero in the game by far. He can almost kill an entire army by himself, and he is the only unit you cant surround, which is ridicilous. So UD vs ORC is unchanged. But yeah, i dont understand the knights buff, otherwise im pretty happy with it. Seems like UD vs ELF will be a bit better now.

Zea: So what about the new zig armor? Will not help?

FuRy: Nah, they wont make a difference vs ORC.

Zea: Many years ago you where one of the top european and world WC3 players. Do you think you will reach it again?

FuRy: Everything is possible, but first of all i need a team to continue to play =).

Zea: You were living in Korea for a long time. What did you got from this experience? Is it hard to live for playing 24/7? And didn’t you got enough free time for another kind of fun or stuff?

FuRy: It was one of the best things i ever experienced in my life so far, so much fun every day and i came so close to my teammates, we became like brothers, sure it was hard to live for playing all the time but in the end it was worth it ocne u get to play your games live on korean tv and your right, there wasnt any free time to do anything else, but thats the whole point to move to Korea.

Zea: Do you know any WC3 spanish player? Like LucifroN? He is our orc champion :P and our number one at the moment.

FuRy: Yeah i know him. I played him on ladder in 1.22 once. He seemed pretty good. =)

Zea: If you get a team, are you thinking on atend any offline and important WC3 tournament near in the future?

FuRy: Well, to begin with i hope we will qualify for ENC playoffs and i will try to qualify for WCG.

Zea: You told you are playing a lot. Are you trainning ladder or custom games with ex-team mates and another pro-players for getting a good shape? What do you prefer and why?

FuRy: Im playing GGL ladder at the moment, normal 1.22 ladder and custom games.

Zea: Nowadays, are you living in your country? Do you live with your family?

FuRy: I live with my girlfriend.

Zea: Thats nice ^^ i hope i will too in not so many years xdd. Was it hard to become a progamer for your family? Did you get support from them since the beginning? Much people doesn’t get the dream because in their countries is not good seen by people and parents.

FuRy: No, my mother supported me more than i could have ever asked for 100% with passion and this made a lot of decisions a lot easier =) ^^ I think its really important
